How could a conservative support this turd?

There are only a handful of conservatives left in the GOP and none at all in the "Deep State."

Conservativism is on its deathbed.

The problem is not that they are not conservatives. The problem is that they are cowards. They are more afraid of a government shutdown than they are afraid of completely surrendering to the dems on every issue.

The Freedom Caucus can either be helpful to prevent a Trump veto override or it can be helpful in compromising with enough in the House and Senate to make a more conservative bill pass, but if they can’t find a way to convince and sway a more conservative compromise, then Ryan will go around them.

The Freedom Caucus, for all I support their apparent intent, needs to work to “flavor” what others will pass, because it appears anything 50-100% “Freedom Caucus-approved” seems unable to pass at this time.

It’s a shame, but it’s where we are.
