By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG. Non-hispanic whites will be 50% of the population by 2043 down from 89% in 1970 and 63% today. There are electoral consequences from these shifts in population. Immigrants and minorities vote more than two to one Dem.
