southern border wall, but Rod Hadrian is just one of the few willing to talk about it.

Probably comes kind of natural for him.

"contentious"? "divisive"? "controversial"? "anger"?

Is this an editorial or what passes in the liberal media for a "news" report?

A couple of those designs are pretty snappy!

Any company or individual threatened or blackballed by the state of California for engaging in legal business activity with the federal government should just sue the hell out of the state in federal court.

It would be like winning the lottery.

Can you see all the bullet holes in the concrete plus the graffiti after about 6 months. Contractors have to create a design which cosmetically can be easily maintained. Sea shells and pretty paint won’t cut it.

From the article:

“We could put the wall up, probably a mile of it, probably in three weeks,”

the border between the US and Mexico is about 1,954 miles long

https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/mar/01/life-and-death-on-the-mexican-border&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwiZ5auBicrTAhWi14MKHakhAMYQFggOMAE&sig2=ftSDnhLltZNXntk6liQ73w&usg=AFQjCNEVArj9SItGxXcOLJ17gCLJVE82Jg

And between Mexico and Texas is 1000 of that 1,954

https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/americas/us-mexico-border-rio-grande-crossing-controls-agency-illegal-immigrants-undocumented-workers-wall-a7626901.html&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwiZ5auBicrTAhWi14MKHakhAMYQFggLMAA&sig2=-mLEQaAMyyp_RtGepsaVGQ&usg=AFQjCNFBonggXvKZ2CGzQArBUkIrWDebgg

So using a —quick— calculation, we need —about— ten contractors at 3 weeks per mile, to finish it in a year.

Better calculation:

1954 mi * 3 wks/mi * 1 year/52 wks * 112 contractors = 1

Need 112 contracting businesses along that 1954 miles, at a rate of 3 weeks per mile, to finish in 1 year.

Decades have gone by with the politicians promising but never delivering.
