Whether they are in the Centrist group or the freedom caucus, at some point the party has to get together and pass legislation otherwise they are going to lose the Congress.

The real challenge the GOP faces is that most Americans love Obamacare. If you have any doubt about that, just browse through any threads on the subject right here on FreeRepublic and see how many conservatives are adamant about keeping any number of its provisions in place.

The problem is that Americans don't want to pay the real cost of their own medical care -- through direct payments, taxes, or any other mechanism ... so they're big fans of any Federal law that pushes these costs onto someone else.

Williams, you are exactly right. The internecine warfare among the range of people on the right has held us back for a very long time. It’s how we lost California, for example. And we will lose all our national electoral gains if we can’t build on what unites us rather than continuing to squabble over what divides us.
