Speaker of the House Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) leadership was called into question by new voices Thursday night as hopes expire of passing a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare before President Donald Trump’s first 100 days end on Saturday.
At a meeting on the Hill late Thursday night, the speaker and his House Republican leadership team decided to further delay the vote. With what appeared to be the acquiescence of conservatives in the Freedom Caucus and think-tanks like Club for Growth and FreedomWorks, who took much of the blame for the failure of the first attempt to pass the American Health Care Act (AHCA) in March, hopes were buoyed that passage was imminent.
Instead, according to Politico, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reporters as he left the meeting, “We are not voting on health care tomorrow. We’re still educating members.”

Your analysis is of course correct, but other presidents including Reagan and Bush came into office with a mandate and got their programs through Congress. I’m not blaming Trump but I have to say the Republican party is a very stupid party.
Just repeal it and return it to the way it was. THEN start making it better by allowing competition among insurance carriers across state lines and putting people with pre-existing conditions in a high risk pool and then subsidize them.
This doesn't come from stupidity. This is corruption. No one is this stupid.

Other than Gorsuch they are every bit as big government, tax, borrow and spend limousine liberals as their out of the closet brothers and sisters in the Democrat party.

Hate to disagree with you but if one requires MORE medical care than the average person WHY should people who DON’T require EXTRA medical care be responsible with higher premiums and deduticibles also??? If I buy a BMW I certainly don’t expect it to cost the same as if I bought a Ford Festiva!!! This is EXACTLY WHY we have this problem with healthcare NO ONE should be denied coverage but if they are going to cost more, they should pay more!!!
I am a cancer survivor and YES I would absolutely expect to have to pay more for my premiums and deductibles not my fault but it is still a high risk to the insurance company!!! I don’t feel others should be penalized for my health situation!!!
