In Part I we explained why President Trump has not received any legislation:
To Wit: President Donald Trump winning the election threw a monkey wrench into the entire DC system . The modern legislative machine is frozen in place.
The America First policies represented by candidate Donald Trump are not within the legislative constructs coming from the authors of the legislation. Congress has no bills to advance because all of the myriad of bills and briefs written are not in line with President Trump policy.
Thats why congress has not passed any legislation for President Trump to sign.
Theres no entity within DC writing legislation that is in-line with President Trumps economic and foreign policy agenda. Exactly the opposite is true. All of the DC pipeline legislative briefs and constructs are antithetical to Trump policy.
So the next obvious question is: what can be done about it?
The only viable solution, under the current system in place, is for the Trump Administration to generate their own legislative product to deliver to congress for passage. It sounds weird, but essentially that appears to be what is taking place right now with the White House staffing up with their own groups of bill authors, constructionists and administration lobbyists.

No surprise here. Donald Trump may have been the Republican nominee in last year’s presidential election, but he is not truly a Republican by any objective measure. He’s an Independent who basically hijacked the Republican nomination process to win the nomination — not unlike the process another wealthy New Yorker named Michael Bloomberg used to get elected mayor of that city.
Difference is, Bloomberg is a liberal, so he had a cooperative city council.
President Trump’s case is more like Jesse Ventura, IMO. The Minnesota legislature did everything in their power to undermine the Governor and eventually wore him out. Plus, Jesse was never the guy he pretended to be while he was campaigning.
The Donald is going to have to work outside the box in order to bypass the Congressional logjam; fortunately, he’s been doing that sort of thing all his life.
President Donald J. Trump is an AMERICAN President, something we haven’t seen in a very long time...
To compare this man to a POS like Michael Bloomberg is a disgrace not only to you, but Our Country...maybe not living here you wouldn’t understand that, and if you do live here you should know better than to make a remark like that...
We, the American Voter elected President Trump because we knew he wasn’t a politician, a Democrat or a Republican, we KNEW he was an American first...and he is only beholding to the AMERICAN PEOPLE and to AMERICA...
I see where you fly your Zambia Flag, I hope you take as much pride in it as we Americans do in Our American Flag...
“So the next obvious question is, what can be done about it?”
The next obvious question is, where is the Nobel Prize for DJT?
He should have two or three by now!
Thanks for posting. Please add me to your ping list and thank you!
All done, and your welcome...
Good idea but the Lobbyists are gonna be left out in the cold!
Congressional Republicans are playing with fire, here.
~63 million US citizens elected Trump to the Presidency—That’s a lot of tar and feathers for the little perfumed princes/princesses unless they get on the stick and start producing.
Since when have Republicans been forwarding bills that are actually conservative and in the best interests of the People? The only time they ever did anything close to that in recent times is when they knew Obama would veto them if they got to his desk.
If anything, Trump's "hijacking" of the Republican Party provides a right-ward force more in line with Reagan than anyone from well before Reagan and anyone since Reagan. Republicans are balking and fighting the pressure from Trump to actually act like Republicans.
The current funding bill expires today. The critters are looking forward to another two week recess, but they
keep plugging away.
FRIDAY, APRIL 28TH
On Friday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business. First votes expected: 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. Last votes expected: 11:45 a.m. 12:45 p.m.
One Minute Speeches
H.J.Res. 99 Making further continuing appropriations for fiscal year 2017, and for other purposes (Closed Rule, One Hour of Debate) (Sponsored by Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen / Appropriations Committee)
They must know President Trump will refuse to sign any allocations not including funding for border security. They will do what they do best: scratch their heads in consternation (”I really need a vacay”) and kick the can down the road.
Shut it down.
I’m glad he is not an establishment Republican. It’s why I voted for him.
Michael Bloomberg is a liberal Republican. He is considered a far right candidate in leftist NY. President Trump is not Bloomberg. Bad comparison.
Trumps policies are more conservative/libertarian. He has implemented the most conservative policies since Reagan. He appointed a conservative SC judge. He has, arguably, appointed the most conservative cabinet ever. He has signed the most EO’s since Roosevelt. Just about all of them concern deregulation.
Yet, it’s still not enough for the Never Trumpers.
the uniparty (dems and repubs) is giving the ONE FINGER SALUTE
RYAN is USELESS
and
MC CONNELL IS ALSO
they had absolutely no problem with the TRAITOR OBAMA.... his pen and his phone

THE REPUBLICANS AS USUAL CAVE...
Excellent, most excellent reply, HL!
It seems AC has not read the article top-to-bottom. This is one of the best articles I’ve seen that truly reveals what Trump is up against and how the entrenched self-interests of K-Street and the Uniparty are antithetical to the people’s interests. As the last paragraph of the article says, Trump is not going to take this and it could get ugly as we try to dislodge those enemies within.
I really want to hear some of these ‘out of the box” ideas. I really want to see him do something radical and extreme. Nothing else will work. He calls out Dems on twitter but to me this is wrongheaded. Democrats alone are not the problem. He needs to somehow galvanize people (Republicans and Democrats). Part of the problem is there is so much hate towards him by some of “the people” who really should be aligned with him. He’s got to find away around that. He has to find people who work based on ideas not money and party affiliation. Is Bernie the Communist someone he can use here (For Trade) just to get the hate out of some of “the people” who really should be able to support some of his American first ideas. Yea, Bernie the communist is a communist but I don’t know if he is driven purely by money and party politics which is why if he could be a voice to support Trump on trade (at least) maybe that can be a starting point. I don’t yet know the answer but I know leadership in both parties are completely against him
Maybe you can remember when Bob Michael was the minority leader back in the '70's and how he capitulated to the Democrats. It was so apparent and sad.
The Republican party has gone down hill dramatically since then.
Today, the Republican party is left of Hubert Humphrey, Eugene McCarthy and others. The Democrat party is far to the left of Engels, Marx, Trotsky and others who started the Soviet/Russian revolution of 1917.
