"I wonder if they gave the lady her dead bunny back."

Probably, but I hope that they also gave her this recipe to save time ...

My late uncle was a German who married into our Italian family, and he was a Great White Hunter. Even in his eighties, he and his cronies would go into the Pennsylvania mountains during deer or bear season and come back with something. I watched him shoot and skin a woodchuck one day.

No rabbit ever got near his garden without becoming hasenpfeffer.

Lol, a long time ago I lived with some friends, a married couple. The wife had bought a couple of rabbits for pets, and in a short period of time they had like a hundred rabbits. She went out of town one weekend, and the husband and I killed most of them, cleaned and filled up the freezer with the meat, and had the fur for sell. She was a little upset but not so much that she didn’t cook and eat the meat.

This bunny was HUGE and valuable, so she needs some answers.
