Why hasn’t this group been labeled a terrorist organization so that they can be taken on properly or are we going to follow the usual m.o. of waiting until they get much bigger to deal with them? They should not be allowed to assemble wearing masks. When people gather all wearing the same gear it is more like an army than a protest. Why do civilized people have to always get permits to assemble, but thugs just announce or appear? Arrest them all for illegal assembly or intimidation or something.

I don't know why we persist in using the left's terminology ("fascists") in reference to leftist street thugs. A better analogy would be "Bolshevik" or "Red Guard." But I'm quibbling.

The Rose festival itself wasn't cancelled, just this one parade, which isn't even the major Rose Parade. As I understand it, this particular parade is the kickoff event for the Rose Festival, i.e., just one part of the festival.

I think there is an important point to be made here.

The Fascists were leftwing. They were socialists. Today, a lot of people want to deny this, but they are wrong. Fascism is a form of Progressivism.

Traditionally, the Bolsheviks and the Fascists have fought each other. That is Leftists fighting Leftists. Although I wouldn’t mind calling the American Left a bunch of Bolsheviks, I refuse to play into a scenario where: “If the Left are Bolsheviks, then I guess American Conservatives are Fascists.” No. Not at all.

Bolsheviks and Fascists are on the Left and both fill the ranks of the American Left.

I’m a Conservative. I believe in freedom, limited government, and individualism. The Antifa people hate people like me. Because they are Fascists.
