So if he had gotten off of the plane like an adult he would have received an $800.00 voucher for future flights, hotel room and a flight out the next day. He could have called in to his office in the morning. He could have still sued UA for damages in that he had to work the next day.
He chose a different route. I hope it goes to a jury. But probably it won't.

United’s own ToS didn’t allow them to kick Dao off at that point. Why people are so eager to defend United for their mistreatment of this passenger is beyond me
