I don’t trust pits and would never never own one.

I don’t object to people “shooting their own dog” if they can do it humanely. I know pit bulls have thick skulls.

Shooting the dog and making a game of it? Shooting it five times, when they’re both supposed to be well trained in the use of firearms? They’re wicked, warped people and I’d rather live next door to pit bulls than to humans like that.

I actually looked at the video. This was done quite humanely. The dog did not suffer, and may well have been sick before it was put down. It was shot repeatedly, very fast, with what appears to be a 5.56 rifle, from close range, in the head/neck area, a virtually instantaneous death without suffering.

It did not even quiver or jump when hit.

I have killed hundreds of animals, and you usually see much more motion than was exhibited here. The dog very likely was sick or drugged before being shot.

An animal’s owner has the right to kill that animal if it seems the best choice to them. Putting an animal in a shelter is almost always a death sentence. People do it all the time, so they do not have to face the consequences of their actions.

Where is the cruelty in the video? The dog was killed virtually instantly. It is not cruel to kill an animal virtually instantly.
