No, not as long as there’s The Wild, Wild West.

Well, I would Pan it, but I’ll give it the Green Lantern for the Final Fantasy before I ride off to Tomorrowland.................

I might be able to stomach all of that with my Eyes Wide Shut.

That might tickle your Monkeybone, but you’d end up in The Land of the Lost..............

I’d rather be there than on Waterworld.

Maybe. At least The Postman can’t reach me there.

He can go Around the World in 80 Days, and it might make it there by Father’s Day..............

I’ll be Far and Away by then. Dick Tracy won’t even be able to find me.

Listening to Stop Making Sense, still one of the finest concert movies ever, and not just because of the music. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to watch it soon.

But like so many Kubricks it needs multiple viewings and time to get your brain right. When it first came out I was very “meh” about it, 20 years later I kind of liked it. Saw it again a couple of years ago and the light went on. It really is an amazing movie, once you actually know what you’re watching.

One of the best ever concert movies, “Stop Making Sense” by the Talking Heads, was directed by JD.

It plays better to me now than it did then for sure. ‘A Clockwork Orange’ plays worse.

Yeah, repeated viewings of Orange really show what a mistake it was to drop the 21st chapter of the book from the movie, it turns the story shallow. But it did give me my unabashed love for Malcolm McDowell, which drew me to Mozart in the Jungle, so it all works out in the end.

Kubrick’s copy didn’t have that chapter. I just watched The Shining the other day and it plays beautifully too.
