Good idea-—surprised no one has posted Ivanka’s exact comment.

She qualifies. She will be 43. She is a natural born citizen.

Go Ivanka go! So much winning!

Ivana Trump became a naturalized US Citizen in 1988.

Ivanka Trump was born in Manhattan, NYC in 1981.

During the 2016 Republican Primary season, Trump supporters vigorously insisted that "Natural Born Citizen" meant that the individual was born within these United States (check) to a father who was a US Citizen at the time of birth (check) AND a mother who was a US Citizen at the time of birth (fail).

By Trump supporters' own definition, Ivanka Trump IS NOT a Natural Born Citizen. She IS NOT eligible for the office of President or Vice President of the United States.

No, you said that if she wasn't Trump's daughter, she would be working at Starbucks.

She's 35, college educated, and married. Are you claiming that if she wasn't born into the Trump family, she would have been born into a lower middle class family, look like the back end of a mule, never go to college, be an unmarried/married to some loser mother of three, who can't get any job better than at Starbucks? That's really a stretch! :-)

At the top end of Millennials/last drop of Gen Y, with a college education, she would have a better job, than that of a barrista, without familial connections...if she wanted/needed a job.

All things being equal, sans the last name, Ivanka would still be in a superior position. That's all I was saying.

I suggest that you go to the EARLIEST TRUMP RALLY threads and read the nics of the rabid Trumpsters. Then read the thread that was posted the night of the election, last November. You will quickly be disabused of your erroneous assumption.

She is NOT a NBC; her mother was NOT an American citizen when she was born.

It’s guilt by association. At least some of those who voted for Trump will wonder why he would have somebody so left wing as an adviser. It indicated she is not competent to give advice.

I actually did start a post with that quote as I watched the video—twice...but frankly, I was too upset to continue.

It seems clear to me that she is advocating for a globalist expansion of US refugee quotas as part of solution—and taking in refugees does not go far enough for her. She has a right to her opinion, but she should not be advancing policy.

I think Ivanka is a wonderful role model for aspiring millennials and a great businesswoman. However, I believe her foreign relations experience is not that wide or deep.

As she was not elected, nominated or confirmed, I don’t believe she should be acting as a pseudo ambassador representing the country and commenting/making foreign policy.

There are at least half a dozen articles with headlines that Eric Trump says Ivanka influenced her father in the Syrian bombing. This is very troubling to me. I don’t like her husband going to Iraq representing the US either...

Ivanka and her husband are globalist leaning Democrats; and IMHO because of that and fact that neither were elected, nominated or confirmed, they should not be representing US in formal capacity abroad nor should they be influencing policy.

Is President Trump draining the swamp, or is the swamp draining him? How does any of this Make America Great Again?

She can’t make any gov’t decisions. She can’t sign a executive order. She can’t sign a bill into law. She can’t put troops into the field & she can’t allow or prevent anyone coming into this nation.

None of that matters.

It is what people believe, the perception they have of her position, and how they interpret what she says.

Her close and unusual relationship to the president (office in the White House) give her an elevated stature.

He has made it clear to the world that she has his ear.

For these reasons her words and actions take on weight and significance they would not otherwise have.

Her position gives people reason to believe that when she speaks she is representing the government, speaking for the president, or disclosing policy.

When she travels here and abroad, as she just did, it is assumed that she is a representative of the president and by extension, the government.

Her statements and answers are assumed to be statements of policy or indicators of the president's stance on an issue.

When she makes a statement that is at odds with thepresident's stated position it is not taken as a personal opinion, it is taken as an indication of an internal disagreement or of a policy change.

If she is going to fill the position of the president's emissary she needs to be in tune with his policies and not disagree with his previously stated positions.

No; she’s not. Neither is Eric. Neither is Donald, Jr. Of Trump’s kids, only Tiffany and Barron are NBCs.

What statement has Ivanka made that indicates a internal disagreement or policy change?
