A retired state trooper friend had told me many years ago that from his experience, the law is whatever a judge says it is.
Basically they have become extra-constitutional rulers in black robes.
This is why the left fights so vociferously to keep control of the judiciary. It is their “hammer” when the legislature doesn’t work for them.
Defund the judiciary for a while.
