If you point that gun at someone, you will be charged with a felony. Correct.
They can charge you with Brandishing, and Assault (even if you don't fire the weapon, it's Assault). Combined with illegally carrying in states like CA, and you can be sent to prison for a long time.

OK, fine, maybe you’ll be charged with a felony if you draw your weapon.
The choice has to be, do I accept the possibility of death or injury for myself or my family or do I draw and shoot and take what punishment may result.
No-brainer, right?
