BART police are beefing up patrols at Oakland stations after dozens of juveniles terrorized riders Saturday night when they invaded the Coliseum Station and commandeered a train car, forcing passengers to hand over bags and cell phones and leaving at least two with head injuries.
The incident — the first of its kind in recent memory — occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Witnesses told police that 40 to 60 juveniles flooded the station, jumped the fare gates and rushed to the second-story train platform. Some of the robbers apparently held open the doors of a Dublin-bound train car while others streamed inside, confronting and robbing and in some cases beating riders.
“At least two victims suffered head/facial injuries requiring medical attention,” said a police summary prepared after the incident.
Alicia Trost, a BART spokeswoman, said Monday that seven people were robbed — with the victims losing a purse, a duffel bag and five phones. Six people were robbed inside the train car, with a seventh confronted on the platform, she said. Police received no reports of guns or other weapons being brandished.
The attack was quick, police reported, and the teenagers were able to retreat from the station and vanish into the surrounding East Oakland neighborhood before BART officers could respond. The train was held for about 15 minutes as authorities interviewed victims and witnesses and tended to the injured.
Trost said police arrived at the station in under 5 minutes, but the robberies took place in just seconds. No officers were at Coliseum station at the time, but were patrolling Oakland stations, she said.

I was military and my kids had some "culture shock" when we arrived back from an overseas assignment. But, yours was more of a difficult road. I really admire you for navigating it.
I developed an acute and highly tuned situational awareness during my time in the ghetto. More than that, I developed what I can only describe as a psychic response mechanism. When some black predator locks onto me, I instinctively send back a matching wave that lets him know I'm a dangerous target that's best avoided.

Even if they were to catch these thugs and if they All plead Guilty, they would ALL BE FREE within 48 hours. California’s AB109, Prop 47, and prop 57 have made mischief like this an infraction with virtually NO PUNISHMENT!
I think America is ready to see a bunch of these situations end in multiple thug deaths....Seriously, I think the majority of Americans have had enough and the death of several of these a-holes would be welcomed but roundly condemned by the usual suspects.

The problem is the snowflake pukes who would treat it like the worst crime in history. No one wants to end his days in prison just for doing what the police should be doing.

The subject of race came up early in this thread. My beef is with you referring to blacks in this country as "Africans", and calling for their deportation. Apparently, simply having black skin makes one some sort of sub-human whose rights as an American citizen are subject to arbitrary revocation, due to the antisocial behavior of others of the same race.

I know what you mean. My radar is still pretty good, but it isn't nearly as sensitive as it once was. I used to have eyes in the back of my head.
Local radio ,KSFO, had a a caller who said he was on the affected car. The ferals were middle school age and really wasted. He described a “flash mob” style attack.
BART says they are in the process of replacing their “dummy” cameras and should be done in June. Yeah right. More like the end of September. Also promised to beef up BART police patrols. Too little too late.
Similarly, wait until you find your small business in court, defending yourself against a large corporation. You will quickly learn that the court system was not set up with your existence in mind.
You would be in a boatload of trouble, but after killing 2-3 of them the rest would have vaporized into the neighborhood quickly.
It would only take 2-3 and the rest would run. Someone needs to make the sacrifice and do it. Yeah, court/jail/whatever, but the precedent would be set.
