That works out to a royalty payment of roughly $244 per book sold. By the way, the book is now selling on Amazon for $8.45.

Wow. News Corporation sure didn't get their money's worth here! On second thought, maybe they did.

Man, he bought 3200 copies?

How many doors does he have that he needs doorstops for?

Oh Boy, A Common Core word problem.

Part B. Did he make the minimum $15 per hour?

Part C. If not, whose fault is it?

News Corp should have at least just outright purchased his books to make the numbers line up. They could have given them to all their employees and friends and avoided the scandal. Then the obviously lame product could have made the bestseller list and possibly produced more sales.

Morons don’t know how to cheat well.

A scandal and evidence of major corruption to be sure.

BTW, if memory serves, didn't Hillary and impeached and disbarred and alleged husband Bill get some similar, um, considerations?

.

News Corp caught bribing a ‘RAT governor...and ineptly attempting to disguise it as book royalties.

Wow.

I have NO idea how this scam hasn't been shut down by the feds.

Some politician writes a book that literally 3000 people wanted to read, yet they get royalties in the 100Ks if not millions.

Like Jim Wright, they simply have the unions buy up thousands of books, then give them away or donate to libraries, or donors.

Who then throw them away.

The perfect money-laundering/ campaign donation scheme.

Really did ANYONE buy Hillary's *second* autobiography?

How about Obama's TWO books?

The ones from 1995 and 2006?

Nobody even knew who he was back then.

Don't tell me that millions of copies were sold.

Don't get me started on the Obama 60 million dollar advance for he and Michelle's memoirs.

Nobody, except for someone like Stephen King sells that in hard copy.

Yet on his taxes, Obama claimed that he was *still* getting six figure royalties.

It’s the advance against royalties. Some publishers think a book will be an instant best seller and they will advance millions to get it. Hillary pulled that scam off. She only had a few book tour engagements because no one showed up for them.

I’m sure you know that the book deal was just the visible part of the transaction.

Its one of many methods of laundering your money. It could be fresh bribe money, or old ill-gotten gains being laundered into daylight. You pay some intern $30,000 to write your book for you. You collect $10 million as an “advance”; the publisher no doubt takes a generous cut from for his services. Your fellow politicians don’t look too closely at it because they are planning to do the very same thing.

donors bought what copies of the book actually sold. It was probably a payola scam in the first place. a number of years ago, a former speaker of the house lost his job over this exact thing.
