The most balanced cable news on television is owned, operated and backed by big money fans of the right wing.
There are no "mainstream media" liberals pulling the strings behind OAN, the 3-year-old digital channel available in about 15 million homes. And it's by far one of the most fair news outlets around, serving up a daily diet of ad-free, non-ideological, nonstop news — without smirking, snarky anchors or much fanfare.
In terms of balanced content, it leaves Fox News Channel, MSNBC and CNN in the dust.
It's about time someone filled the void. Most cable news now more closely resembles talk radio.
OAN, which stands for One America News Network (there's no second "N" in the logo), is actually beating Fox News sibling Fox Business in the cut-throat ratings race, according to Rentrak, which measures viewers differently than its rival, Nielsen.
But OAN is growing.
Herring says he saw an opening for a mostly straight-news driven channel when CNN started to fill its primetime with reality shows like Anthony Bourdain's travel show, "Parts Unknown."
MSNBC and Fox were even riper for competition because, while they may be ideologically different, their programming is the same.
"We did a lot of research and we found that MSNBC and Fox actually looked remarkably similar," says Herring. "It's just an anchor sharing their opinions for an hour," he said.

OAN is THE best news channel of all cable. I go right to it when I turn on the tv.

I’ve got DishNetwork. They don’t carry it. Told my wife before the month is out we’ll have DirectTV. Dish has been bombarded by subscribers telling them to add OAN. For years now. They ignore all requests. To hell with them.

I’ve been watching for it to show up on Dish. We live in a rural neck of Idaho and trying to watch on internet would crash our data allotment.
Would love to watch it but when you’re nearly deaf you need closed captions. None so far on OAN. I’m hoping they’ll be added soon.

I got OAN added to my Directv lineup (Channel 347) and I immediately said to Mrs teletech that this is what news shows used to be like. Refreshing indeed!

Yeah that is about right. The owner Charles Herring bought out a streaming service called Klowd TV. He added OAN and a sister feed that runs Trump speeches and pressers. Then he added the sister channel The Wealth Network and also Newsmax TV as well as a few other things. For seven bucks you can get the service. They do that now than what they tried on Flimon and on Yip TV. So there is that, but also you can buy a direct feed to the channel on Roku as well.

I became almost a basket case when ATT merged with Direct TV. Fox just didn’t prove to be fair and balanced in news reporting and that left me with trust in Free Republic and Drudge. Still felt u easy until one day I was scrolling the150,000 unwatchable channels and my brain caught a millisecond channel logo. OAN!!!! THERE IT WAS . I regained my composure and there on my 60 inch CURVED HD 327 Hemi was My favorite news readers speaking the total truth about a topic with no slant.There is God

We don’t have fios or direct tv. Perhaps they will be on comcast in the near future.
I like OAN in general and Fox when Sean and Tucker are on. Some of the others are fine on Fox. I do think it plausible the progressive wives of the sons of Murdoch have influence over the business.
