He is a CINO because he is weak on immigration. Same as the Bushes who call themselves compassionate CONSERVATIVES. Same as Canada born Cruz who was pushing for 500% increase in H1-B visa foreign workers. Same as Chamber of Commerce who are supposed to be conservative but incessantly push for cheap immigrant workers.

Real conservatism begins by protecting EXISTING citizens. Which is why Marine LePen is a better conservative than Fillon.

LePen polls strongest vs. the conservative Fillon because many of the Socialist and Communist voters would happily vote for her as a fellow secularist socialist. If she became President she would have tremendous difficulty governing since her party will have only a small number of seats in the French Assembly. She would need Socialist support. Who knows what she would have to do in exchange for that?

Yep, Fillon is the second-best option for her to face off against.

>>secularist socialist<<

Well . . . yes. We need to tap the brakes a little on our enthusiasm for Le Pen.

But if she could get elected and tank the EU (the Trojan Horse of globalism in the world), I think that would be a fabulous outcome.

A leaked midday exit poll indicates Macron is slightly ahead of Le Pen, with Fillon a close third, and with turnout a bit off from last time. Any idea as to whose voters are late risers? Perhaps Fillon’s church-going voters will disproportionately vote after midday.

France needs to get out of the EU while it’s still possible...

The Belgian leaks are continuing. This time a TV-chain (RTBF) reports an exit-poll from mid-day: Macron 24%, Le Pen 22%, Fillon 20,5%, Mélenchon 18%.

NB: What do we think about exit polls? Our experience is not the best to say the least. This time it is an “anonymous” exit poll. Also, remember that if any country would like to see the europhile Macron in the second round it is Belgium.

What’s the deal about this being Round 1 of the election - Is that because of an expected run off?

If no candidate receives above 50% there is a second round with the two leading candidates. I don’t think anyone since Charels de Gaulle in 1962 has avoided a second round run-off.

The polls will be closed in a couple of hours so we will see soon enough. I am afraid that there may be very dark days ahead for France with all of these socialist-communist-fascists polling so well.

According to the more “official” exit-poll it will be LePen and Macron in the second round with about 23% each.

If it is Macron v. LePen, he will win easily, which is why the leftist media pushed LePen. He will then officially rejoin the Socialist Party. The real battle will be the French Legislative elections in June.

Early results suggest Macron and Le Pen will advance to the second round. Let us hope, whoever wins between them, the socialists go down to defeat in the National Assembly.
