Very wise advice Ms. B.
Who hasn’t misplaced their car keys.
Had a great aunt with dementia when growing up, we just thought she was a hoot.
Now that my oldest sister has dementia, not so funny. She got help right away and her progression, thankfully, has been very slow.
Have a dear friend and neighbor that I diagnosed years ago, she acted just like great aunty, finally convinced her to see a doctor as I wanted her to get some help. She is now full blown Alzheimers. So sad.
I am so sorry about your friend, LG.
My heart goes out to you.
I lost my Poppa to a rare form of dementia called “Pick’s Disease.”
Inside of 6 years, he went form normal to bed ridden, unable to walk, or speak, then it was a failure to thrive and he was gone.
One of the saddest, most heartbreaking things that has ever happened to me, was when I went to see hin one day I could see him really searching my face.
Then he said “Honest to God, I don’t know who you are.”
My heart just shattered, you know?
So sorry about your friend.
