Received wisdom here in the Northwest has it that any number of refugees escaping from the madness that is CA have moved here, but sadly have brought the virus of their former home state with them. Thus we are increasingly emulating the political kookiness they brought with them.
As a kid, I remember bumper stickers that said, "Don't Californicate Washington" but it's too late now.
All there is to do now is lie back and smoke a joint.
