Yes, it was infuriating enough that it happened the first time. It was mind-blowing people would turn around and do it again in 2012.
I believe Bush is a lot to blame for the predicament we got into in 2008...with his ineffectual communication skills and his namby-pamby stance about the dangers of Islam. I also blame dumb-ass liberal whites...women especially. Like they often do, they voted on feelings, looks, and guilt.
Of course, stupid McCain played his part, too. If he had any brains and care for this country, he never would have thrown his hat in the ring. But he's a selfish, senile old bastard who ended up endorsing his opponent while the race was still going! Who the heck does that? He's in a cushy senate seat with dumb voters voting on name recognition. He doesn't know the first thing about how to win against a Dem. What a eunuch...he and his Siamese twin. Then his own campaign tried to hamstring and undercut Palin at every turn. And she was the one that brought some energy and momentum to his campaign!
Then we got McCain redux in 2012. Playing Mr. Nice Guy against Dems and Muslims doesn't work. It doesn't endear you to them. It turns off your own base and independent minded voters. And the ones on the left were never gonna vote for you in the first place. We've got some REAL big dummies in the Republican party.

You’re too kind : ) Instead of the word “dummies”, the words “complicit traitors” seem a better fit.
