NKorea warns China of sanction consequences

Published: 6:36 pm, Saturday, 22 April 2017

North Korea has seemingly made a thinly veiled warning to China of catastrophic consequences to their bilateral relations, as it asked its historic ally not to step up sanctions.

The warning on Saturday came in a commentary titled "Are you good at dancing to the tune of others", released by the state-owned KCNA news agency.

While the commentary did not mention China by name, Pyongyang expressed its criticism of "a country around the DPRK", using the acronym for North Korea's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

On the surface, it sounds like they are going to do a nuclear test, and telling Chinese to buzz off. On the other hand, this belligerent rhetoric may be an act: China will act indignant while N. Korea does the test. In the end, China will support N. Korea again and everything is back to normal. This is what will happen, unless there will be a consequence to their usual act this time.

According to the following report, China is hinting that it will oil shipment to N. Korea if there is another nuclear test. We don't need to take it at face value. Short of complete shutdown of oil supply for indefinite period, it won't make much difference.

Beijing may cut crude oil to Pyongyang, says Chinese expert

China turns the screw on North Korea to prevent another nuclear test

OKI NAGAI, Nikkei staff writer

BEIJING -- China likely will halt crude oil exports to North Korea should Pyongyang conduct its sixth nuclear test, a prominent Chinese expert told The Nikkei, signaling a tougher attitude by Beijing toward its rogue neighbor.

A nuclear test or the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles would violate United Nations Security Council resolutions, and China is certain to respond with additional sanctions, said Zhang Liangui, a professor at the Chinese Communist Party's Central Party School and noted authority on North Korea.

I think little Kim failed Geography in school. He should look at a map and get the big picture.

The little AH probably looks in the mirror every night and says....How brave I am...

And the mirror answers............

Fat boy threatening China is like a mosquito agitating an elephant, one simple slap and the mosquito is history.

"...North Korea's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea."

Leftists seem to have a knack for naming things the exact opposite of what they really are.

Too much “anonymous” sources, too much speculation, too much “what ifs”.

People should wait for actual events before making any judgements, as only the actual events can clarify all the disinformation out of reality.
