Dr. Vivek Murthy announced on Friday that he has resigned from his post as U.S. Surgeon General. Deputy Surgeon General Sylvia Trent-Adams, a nurse, will serve as acting Surgeon General. There are innumerable MDs who consider their advanced degree license to speak authoritatively about political issues — 95% of them are socialists and belong to the anachronistic American Medical Association and other leftist front groups masquerading as physician organizations. This resigning Surgeon General typifies this type of doctor.

Agreed. The threat is a .gov agenda that is driven by political will/dogma and incompetence in the management of the few cases that made it to CONUS.
To be fair this acting SG Mrs. Adams was a U.S. Army nurse/officer and served at Walter Reed before joining the PHSCC.

For your enlightenment, I know a few lefty docs and they tend to be the younger ones recently indoctrinated by medical schools who serve a political agenda more than anything else. The middle age & older physicians FOR THE MOST PART are conservatives who are disgusted to see not only what has happened to their profession at the hands of the government but what has happened to the entire health care system. I have an advanced practice nursing degree and I can say nursing schools are also extremely left wing these days.

You misread and misunderstood what I wrote. I said “95% of the MDs who consider their advanced degree license to speak authoritatively about political issues.” A subset.
Sylvia Trent-Adams served in the Army but all it list is stateside duty, nothing about overseas.
It is difficult to determine from the photo but it appears she has a Purple Heart (top row, right). I would think if she did have a Purple Heart it would be listed in her Bio.
I can ID the Army Commendation Medal ribbon, National Defense Ribbon, but could not ID the rest.
Anyone else know what they are?

I did a search on her name with Legion of Merit and then on Purple Heart and nothing came up. Her wiki bio only mentions she served in the army but does not list her awards.
