A very long time for sure...God willing.... but I was very young when I had the occasion to face deaths door...so I determined I would plan my funeral before it ever came that close again! I've tweaked it along the way..but still it's been really fun to plan it out.

DIANA ROSS: “THE MAN I LOVE”

Diana played Billie Holiday in the 1972 biopic “Lady Sings the Blues,” which was her first major move after leaving the Supremes. She was good enough at imitating Billie’s voice and vocal techniques that she blurred one’s memories of the original. For that reason, she avoided singing this song in public until late in her career. This live recording is from 2010, and it’s an intimate arrangement.
