Who writes this stuff? Widespread, large swath, but just affects several neighborhoods?

One station lost power here. Just cause huge headaches because its a tunnel system with just two tracks in most cases running in opposite directions. No way to bypass.

Methinks it’s squirrel.

Very strong possibility. I knew a radio engineer who told me that when he got the call for a station going off-air, 80% of the time the culprit was a fried rat in the transmitter.

Since they are for the most part God-fearing Christians and Caucasian heterosexuals, the enemedia couldn't care less about them.

Wash it Bush’s fault or Trump’s fault?
Don’t worry, they have solar panels and windmills.

Actually I got trapped in an elevator in SF for four hours. It was in an express elevator shaft so there was no way out (not that I would consider moving between a car and a floor as the car could always begin moving again).

There were three other people on the car: a swish, a lady, and the state elevator inspector! After assuring us we would be “saved” in short order, it never happened because: no one paid any attention to the alarm and attention to the control board at the security station and the emergency phone was inoperable. Fortunately someone heard our yelling and help was sent.

After my complaint letter to the elevator company was received, I had an offer to settle. I was not seeking money as I was “on the clock”. Their representative said pick a charity and we will send a check after you do a release. They sent off a K to my choice. I asked how much could I have pushed for and the guy said five figures would not have been out of reach as the elevator companies want no bad pub.

Well, it is only 90,000 people affected. Maybe I should have posted this in chat.

“A spokesman for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. said at least 90,000 customers lost power and that there had been a fire at a substation on Larkin Street. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the fire caused the outage, which swept through the city after 9 a.m., or was ignited as a result of the outage.

“The San Francisco Fire Department was responding to numerous calls for service, including people stuck in elevators, but reported no injuries as of 10 a.m.”
