Time to go fishing Kimmy, while we watch the the main house. ;-)

I had something snarky to say about Russia and north Korea and now no I would be an idiot to say it. I also now understand how come china has not known how to handle north Korea... because of Russia it does not have as much influence as I thought

“...civilized nations have to band together to put an end to the non-civilizations, or humanity will become extinct...”

This is an amazing statement. I have never really boiled it down to those terms before.

Civilized vs. Non-Civilized

I know Savage talks in those terms often.

Thanks for that.

“...we have technology way beyond the old “patriot” missile defense system of the Gold War era...”

Correction I meant Golf War era.
I don’t know what the “Gold War” is. ;-)

I hope you’re right BarbM.

Some of these things may be unfixable.

It’s a mess.

I agree.

The world would be a much safer place for everyone, including China and Russia.

“...Sets up the Pusan Perimeter, an excellent example of a mobile perimeter defense...”

Absolutely amazing.

(excerpt) At Pusan, Walker had proved that a mobile defense was doable and demonstrated how to do it. As a result, the Army finally included the concept in the 1954 edition of FM 100-5, its primary operations field manual.

Despite being under a cloud at the time of his death, Walker was promoted posthumously to four-star rank in January 1951. He may not have been a perfect general officer, but he was certainly one of America’s greatest field commanders.

I’m not sure either has designs on the real estate.

Hey, I can’t say that’s impossible.

As for Japan, I think China remembers WWII vividly, when Japan occupied a big portion of it.

Neutron bombs, I don’t even know if they have electricity in most regions of NK.

No neutron bombs, especially not against cave-based artillery. No nukes will be used even enhanced radiation like a neutron weapon. Having electricity or not having it doesn't reduce the effects of 'neutron bombs', but most of the terrain in NK doesn't favor their use.

excerpt:

[Russian] Military veteran Stanislva Sinitsyn called the movements a “preventative by necessary” measure.

He said: “If the situation worsens, especially related to military events, the armed forces of all the neighbouring countries obviously monitor it more closely, and we are no exception.

“It is not the first time that North Korea has broken the peace in the region, that’s why this situation deserves attention.”
*****************
It seems Russia is faulting North Korea - this is a good sign

I’m feeling really stupid about now.

I won't be too hard yourself

Probably 99.9999% of Americans didn't know either.

Heck 50 % of the population under 30 can't find their ass with both hands and a mirror.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Of course it does.

Between the US, China and Russia, Russia has the weakest hand by far...

If fat-boy is going to strike out any anybody, Russia is his best bet to come out with the least damage...

Putin just sending him a message, don't go there..

That was my thought, this all turns up the heat and sends a huge message to upper management in North Korea.

1.). There will be no asylum granted.
2.). Take out Kim.
3.). Manage the transition or the peasants will hang you from a street light.

I don’t think China is going to let Putin walk right in. Maybe the two of them will go at it. Popcorn time.

“Golf war era”. Yeah, 18 rounds of golfing can be brutal or so I’ve heard. Let’s retire to the clubhouse for some drinks and discuss your use of words. :D
