They don’t even let her talk. The homosexual guy is just a list of clichés in search of an idea.

trump is smart enough to know he has to behave if he is running in 2020 otherwise both the republican enemies and the democrat enemies will just play the delay game and wait him out. I give him a 50 percent chance of saying no to a run again but it is dependent on him getting done what he thinks needs to be done. if he meets all his goals for changing government I could see him playing king maker for the republican party if he has not met his goals you will not see him walking away from the presidency.

I like Paglia, too, but listening to her talk is like trying to get a drink of water from a fire hydrant.

So are the dimocrates in the 4th or 5th stage of recovery? I’m getting so very confused.

I think you gave a fair assessment on whether he runs again and what will determine it. I agree.

I have her book!

This appears to be a really great book. Love the Nefertiti Dickinson thing. A real jewel in my collection.

Gosh, my link to Photobucket worked in the edit preview. Is this the end of the road for Photobucket?

Thanks for posting this. I read the article and then watched the video. It was enjoyable. I’ve always liked Camille Paglia. She is intelligent, cultured in the arts but still retains a “street” sensibility and understanding of the world. Most of all in this case she is true to her values, doesn’t compromise them for political expediency, and doesn’t apologize for any of it.

Nobody has to agree with her to appreciate her as a rarity. She is lost in the woods in today’s political left/Democrat party. Probably why she voted for Jill Stein, Bernie Sanders, Ralph Nader etc... and is a very outspoken critic of Hillary. She criticizes elitists and especially some in Hollywood who try to flaunt their elitism thinking it is a form of populism. She had it right on the nose.

She even (spoiler) said she is happier to have Trump instead of Hillary, has an authentic American distaste for those who lust power, understands that POTUS is a job and that Trump seems to understand that more than anyone, and she criticized Obama’s lackadaisical approach and lack of accomplishment in some obvious areas. Worth watching if you like her, or if you respect a liberal who is not a hypocrite. And in many ways she is a Liberal more than a liberal (but not in every way).

“I think Trump will not run for re-election.”
Same here, I think he will ‘turn it over’ to Pence. IMO

Well it’s unlikely that he will keep both houses of the legislature all 8 years, but he sure isn’t going to lose the White House as long as he remotely delivers and continues to be perceived as putting America first in all his decision making.

Disagree... Trump will run in 2020. Trump was all in years before he announced, I don’t see him walking away in 4 years. Trump can be called
Many things but quitter isn’t one of him and I don’t see him ever deciding I want to go down in history with LBJ as being a sitting president who refused a second term... I also don’t see it where he won’t fight for the second term as validation of his first.

I completely disagree with you that Trump got into this day one as only going 1 term.

“That many people who are lunatics in one country gives me pause...”

I wouldn’t sweat it. The nutjobs are the ones that get the press coverage - by those pushing an agenda. And boy, do they ever push it! Sensationalism also sells cars, hamburgers and laundry soap; don’t ever forget that. :)

I still believe that the majority of American are sane and that scales have fallen from a lot of eyes (Rust Belt Democrats, Union Goons for Trump, etc.)

I remain hopeful. Don’t panic until you see ME panicking, LOL!

I just think Trump wanted to prove he could become President... That he could win. I think he also wanted to fix what he didn’t like. Now that he is I can’t see him keeping up this grueling schedule for longer than 4 years at his age. He had a pretty good life before this he might want to get back to.
