There is no way on Earth you can be sure that he would not still have had trouble. Some women love to tell lies about men. Some don’t seem to be able to know the difference between the truth and their own imaginings but people are far more likely to believe a lie from a woman in such a situation than to believe the truth if it comes from the accused man. Most women can NOT handle rejection and when rejected many of them are more than willing to spin a tale that is the opposite of the truth. I know that some men can’t handle rejection either but women are far worse than men in that respect.

I have seen women behave really poorly. Same for men. Never in my career did I allow boorish behavior by a male end his career. I was upfront and told him where the boundaries are. After that no problem. I was in the energy business.

You stop it by confronting it and letting the guy know such behavior is unacceptable. If need be you do the confrontation with a witness. How do I know, because it happened to me. It stopped without having the guy fired.

By the way, Wendy W. still got her book promoted months after said incident and O’Reilly had her as guest for four months after said incident. I have watched O’Reilly since 2001. Wendy never impressed me. I had know idea who she was.

I think by the time the dust settles, Fox News will still be number 1 but the margins will be more narrow.

Three years from now one of the stories will be “where did Fox News viewers go?” They will stop watching Fox but not switch to CNN or MSNBC. They will “vanish” and this will puzzle the smart people on tv.
