Yeah, the on-line NYT Election Predictor is where I spent most of my election time, too!

It was great watching the results there.  No commentary or talking heads, just data flashing at you.  It was a rich experience too because you could explore stuff on your own by drilling down to see details on the results in particular states and counties.

Actually I alternated between the NYT site and reading the running Twitter commentary of Bill Mitchell, who was fending off Hillary supporters telling him how stupid he was for predicting a big Trump victory.

It was nail biter until the moment when Florida seemed safely in the Trump column.  Then, suddenly the cold and calculating NYT robot reversed direction and the graphs started moving dramatically in Trump's favor.  It was a beauty to behold: for 30 minutes there, you watched The Movement rise up like a mountain.

Then the weight of the moment hit you: Deplorables from all corners of America were rising up to take back their country!  Wow, God bless the American voter.

Some people credit the new NYT website that gave real-time precinct updates with stopping Democrat vote-manufacturing, because their heuristics were reporting the remaining outstanding votes.

I wonder if we will see that site again in 2020?

It’s not something for my Communist Commonwealth to be proud of — believe me. As I thought Hillary would win the presidency on the day I voted, I expressed my disgust to my Commie residents in line with me by mentioning Kevin Ives and Don Henry (?) being killed because they saw a drug drop and got curious. Some of the people in the line laughed nervously at my remarks >>>veg<<<<

Maybe, for once, we got “divine intervention.” Trump did win, afterall.

There are unconfirmed reports that her hotel room was trashed from SS agents and hotel staff that had to clean up the mess. Her victory cake and food was thrown all over the room and they broke a big screen TV; all off the record.

Only Podesta or Mook would have had the authority.

They had the media, the illegals, the fraud, the minorities, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and the limousine liberals. And...they still blame her loss on the RUSSIANS.

You CANNOT fix retarded.

“When that jerk Podesta told the crowd, go home, let’s get all the votes counted, I thought sh**, they’re going to steal and manufacture enough votes to steal the election. And the media will give them time to do it.”

Exactly what I was thinking. I truly feared another Election of 2000 scenario.

I had read at that time that all party goers had their phones confiscated so there would be no videos or recordings. I doubt the camera crew was allowed in after the loss.

That whole early morning....with volunteers crying in the Javits Center and John Podesta finally showing up.....was a fustercluck. Made the Democrat Party look really, really, really bad. Obama was trying to avoid this.

Obama is an idiot. Democrats almost always win recounts.

Allegheny County gave Pennsylvania to Trump. While Hillary won it she lost too many votes in Allegheny County/Pittsburgh to carry Pennsylvania.

I guess that explains why Obama took a break from his perpetual vacation to show-up here this morning at Dan Rooney's funeral.

“Why aren’t I 50 points ahead, you might ask!”

I remember that event. My inner thought registered it as a threat. Look at her body language and how she said it. In other words, get busy on ballots to make that happen or else.

I will have to give NYT credit where credit is due. They had the best election night projections of any other outlet. Even Drudge switched over to them early in the evening.

I don't say that because of the outcome but because they appeared to go about it in a very scientific way. They had algorithms that projected unreported precincts with a very high degree of accuracy so early in the evening, you could see that states like WI, MI, and PA were trending Trump's way. They effectively had the race called for Trump by 9:30PM when the other news outlets hedged for hours and hours before finally making their calls.

Watching that NYT needle move rapidly and inexorably in Trump's direction was the highlight of my evening.

That’s the value of the bottle not the champagne

You could put Korbel in it

Maybe Obama wants to be the NBA commissioner and he figures if he dons the knee pads and applies enough suction, 2+2 will equal 5. That’s the best guess I can come up with after watching his brain sputter for eight years. The best analogy is watching a spastic squirrel change direction numerous times while trying to cross a road. Other than the Jarrett hand up the butt theory of controlling him, that’s the best I can figure.

I think they did that with wine. They would pour some $500 bottle of wine into a glass and then in another glass was $6 Beringer or something like that. Then a third glass with some middle-of-the-road wine. Many so-called wine snobs could not tell the difference and some even picked the $6 wine to be the most expensive one. A true sommelier probably would know the difference but that takes years of specialized training.

Anyhow, I'm not buying the "$950,000 bottle of champagne thrown into a 150-inch TV" story either. I think the Clinton people just throw that crap out there to make us look like idiots. All too often, it works.

"....it's still upsetting..." Woulda', coulda', shoulda' but didn't.

The winners need to get over it too, not just Hillary. It's been six months.

Look at how lucky we are that Trump pulled it off. If you want to talk about "it's still upsetting", just think what you'd feel like if Hillary had won instead.

Count our blessing and don't dwell on the small stuff from the past.
