I understand, and I share your frustration. All sorts of horrible usage out there. The Catholic school sisters who taught me are probably spinning in their graves at seeing what passes for acceptable writing today. And our instant communication causes all of the misuse to spread so rapidly.
I try to console myself by remembering that English is a living language.
All the best to you.

I think they’re trying to evoke the image of (cultural) “earthquakes”.

LA Times?
But I suppose if we didn't post articles from the enemy camp, posts would be lean and far between.

Three years ago we bought a condo in Walnut Creek and are most likely going to buy a house in Nevada County, so we are not fleeing or hiding. However, based on past experience, you cannot have a rational conversation with a liberal. So why make an attempt when you are at risk of being maced or tazed?
If some enjoy those losing confrontational experiences, I appreciate their valor but not their judgement.

They are very liberal about using violence to free speech from use by people they hate.

The birthplace of the Free Speech Movement is now the epicenter of speech suppression.
Isn’t it ironic?

If I was there I'd single out one at a time, pull off their mask, have someone record it, and post them all on youtube. My thoughts too.
