Russia warns US against ‘Syria-style’ actions in N. Korea

Mike Pence’s statement on the US running out of “strategic patience” towards Pyongyang does not contribute to resolving the crisis, Sergey Lavrov said, voicing hopes there will be no repeat of the US strike on Syria in North Korea.

“I hope that there won’t be any unilateral actions like we recently saw in Syria and that the US will follow the policies Trump repeatedly declared during his election campaign,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, regarding the statement made by US Vice President Mike Pence on Monday during his visit to South Korea.

The world has witnessed the “strength and resolve of [President Trump] in actions taken in Syria and Afghanistan,” according to Pence, who threatened North Korea “not to test” this resolve or “or the strength of the armed forces of the United States.”

The Russian foreign minister warned not to take any military actions and stressed that the “risky nuclear and missile endeavors of Pyongyang” violating UNSC resolutions could not be used as an excuse for violating international law and the UN Charter “in the same fashion” as in Syria.

Looks like Putin is being Trumped and being set back on his heels - so much for him owning Trump.......Bush “saw into Putin’s soul”; Obama offered “more leeway once I win again” (funny there were no cries of collusion then) and Trump has stripped the facade off Putin and is demonstrating why Putin should decide to take him up on his offer of better relations.....saving him a seat at the dinner table but w/o a place setting until he sits down and declares that he’s hungry for what is being served.

There are 6 countries involved in negotiations trying to keep Kim at bay. Wouldn’t be surprised if Russia simply took Kim out. What the hell would his heir do? “NUTS” runs in the family.

Hey Russia.

Kim Jong Prefix is a crazy MF making direct threats to use nuclear weapons against us and our allies.

What’s your reason for protecting him? Seriously. What do you stand to gain in this world by backing a nuclear nut job brutal dictator running a closed society with 28 state authorized haircuts and a thing for Dennis Rodman?

Back off bitch or your going to get slapped.

Or it could be an act for the lying msm. Last week Trump and Vlad were BFFs and this week mortal enemies. Smells fishy.

JUST LIKE THAT...Russia sounds WEAK and impotent on the world stage. And “Russia Gate” is dead and buried. What a difference a week makes.

Russia trying to stay relevant.

I believe the President is going to take out Kim Jong and his regime. I would think he has a plan for a transitional government to move to a reunification of Korea.

This must be the case in my view because all else will not resolve the conflict unless North Korea agrees to lay down before the Chinese which they will not do or will do only in a show of deception.

What a Trump coup that would be if it came to fruition without a major conflagration.

Sounds rather weak and petulant if you ask me. Russia had eight years to play by it's own rules...no more.

???

Don't know if you meant it, but your response to my post sounds like you think Trump is Putin's lap dog and they are in massive collusion to fool the world into thinking Trump is his own man.
