Hawkish senator cheers neocon shift, says president 'is growing and he is listening'
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd that he “hoped” President Donald Trump was being drawn into the so-called “Washington establishment” during an interview Sunday.
Ever since Trump ordered an airstrike in Syria in retaliation for the chemical attack that killed more than 80 Syrian civilians earlier in April, he has received increasing praise from the neoconservative wing of the Republican Party.
When Todd pointed to those who say “the Washington establishment sucked [Trump] in” and compromised his conservative populism and “America first” agenda, McCain unequivocally expressed his glee at the prospect.
“I hope so!” McCain said before laughing.

If one pays close attention to detail it becomes increasingly clear that DC is succumbing to Trump’s orbit. President Trump is a one man Constitutionalist.

I didn;t think McCain would admit it, but THIS is and has been all along the problem. The D.C. Establishment. I went to D.C, back during the agro problems of Jimmy Carter, and the D.C people in offices told us to go back home, that THEY were the experts and needed no ideas from people who FARM, about what the farming problems were.
And I hope McCain succumbs to a deadly disease and dies quickly for the sake of the country.
McCain is the poster child for repeal of the 17th. Amendment.
If voting the party line is all that’s required out of a senator from Arizona, seems they should be able to find some other electable republican to run.
