Ann Coulter: Lassie, Come Home
Breitbart ^ | 4.12.17 | Ann Coulter

War is like crack for presidents. It confers instant gravitas, catapulting them to respectability, bypassing all station stops. They get to make macho pronouncements on a topic where every utterance is seen as august. On the other hand, Trump’s Syrian misadventure is immoral, violates every promise he ran on, and could sink his presidency.

Left to his own devices, uncontaminated by Washington group-think, Trump gets it right.

Back in 2013, when President Obama was being egged on to attack Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack far more sweeping than this latest one, Trump tweeted:

— Aug. 29, 2013:

“What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict? Obama needs Congressional approval.”

— Aug. 31, 2013:

“Be prepared, there is a small chance that our horrendous leadership could unknowingly lead us into World War III.”

Also, why would the US agree to co-sponsor, with Russia today, a UN investigation to figure out what happened with regards to the chem weapons in Syria IF we already have definitive proof it was Assad?

So the Russians can see that they cannot refute the evidence.

I feel bad for Ann. She seems to have believed some things that proved not to be 100% correct. It would probably be best for her to stop reading/watching news until the cycle turns, lest statements like Rex Tillerson's, "We rededicate ourselves to holding to account any and all who commit crimes against the innocents anywhere in the world."

You know, that could mean shutting down every Planned Parenthood outlet in the United States, starting today! Or does is the Secretary of State referring only to Innocents Abroad? Probably the latter, given his position.

If the US had proof, they would take it to the UN.

Yes, and Mutt Romney is a true conservative!

Sometimes Coulter is dumber than Bill Maher.

Trump has already said he is not taking us into Syria. What more does she want.

We’ve bombed Syria and we still have DACA. Nice, huh?

If the US had proof, and if they took it to the UN, the UN would condemn Israel — because that’s what the UN does.

“Sometimes Coulter is dumber than....”

Not for me to judge her intelligence but posturing as she tosses her hair about she comes across as a gal who’s Halo glow failed and never had a chance as a Breck girl. On the shelf next to Draino, I’m pleased she found her caustic niche.

They did. And there was a vote. One NO vote...by Russia stopped it....

If you haven't seen the video of President Trump and the Secretary General of NATO...take a look...it's worth your time....to see "What Is".

>> Ann is like Gumby. She bends any way on any issue. Today shes mad at Trump. Tomorrow she will love him again.

So, instead of being a “fan” who treats an elected official like their favorite rock star or sports team, she is being a citizen who is critically examining the actions of an elected leader?

If my own child was president, he would have to prove that he is doing the right thing to me every day because that’s the only way a free republic can survive.

Bombing Syria was a mistake.

This isn’t never Trumpers. A cornerstone of President Trump’s campaign was that he’d sit down and talk with Putin. Two great strategic minds would sort it out, chess instead of checkers and all that. The concern is very real that the globalists are hijacking Trump’s foreign policy agenda.

Lassie was always wondering off to go help someone in need and we the audience loved Lassie because of that. Trump is Lassie?

And Russia would have vetoed action.

But the US still would have gone there (and acted anyway). No question.
