He wasn't being arrested... he was being improperly ejected from a flight because the airline screwed up and placed the comfort and convenience of its pampered union employees over their paying customers.

Why was he being arrested? He paid for his seat, was allowed onto the airplane, and when not enough people did not take the “offer” he was chosen randomly to “voluntarily” give up his seat. What is this, the USSR? I would have pitched one &$%@! of an Italian Girl fit if they were forcing me against my will to vacate my paid for seat! I hope he wins a pile of money.

Not only wasn’t he being arrested he was completely within his rights to refuse to leave the plane. The airline broke the law not the passenger. The airport security people assaulted him.
