CNN Exclusive: Classified docs contradict Nunes surveillance claims, GOP and Dem sources say
CNN ^ | 04/11/2017 | Jim Sciutto, Manu Raju, Eric Bradner

Posted on 04/11/2017 11:53:41 PM PDT by Fedora

After a review of the same intelligence reports brought to light by House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, both Republican and Democratic lawmakers and aides have so far found no evidence that Obama administration officials did anything unusual or illegal, multiple sources in both parties tell CNN. . .

One congressional intelligence source described the requests made by Rice as "normal and appropriate" for officials who serve in that role to the president. And another source said there's "absolutely" no smoking gun in the reports, urging the White House to declassify them to make clear there was nothing alarming in the documents.

Still, some members of Congress continue to have concerns about the justification given for the unmasking requests and the standards for the intelligence community to grant such requests, which reveal the private data of US persons mentioned in intelligence reports based on routine intelligence collection aimed at foreign nationals. . .

Rice is among the list of witnesses that House and Senate Intelligence officials want to interview as part of its probe into Russian attempts to meddle with the US elections. House Democrats and Republicans on the Intelligence Committee are near agreement on the list of witnesses to interview, with the GOP mostly focusing on people who may have leaked classified information and the Democrats hoping to question Trump associates who may have ties to Russia. . .

No trial. Swear me in as a judge and I’ll convict them with a bench ruling. Sentence to be carried out immediately.

(Susan Rice has been elevated to a political role model.) It's so reassuring to know that Pres Trump will be able to use the full power of the govt's intel apparatus (as Rice did) to spy on political opponents and their aides and associates—to go sifting through all of their personal data and communications, and to selectively unmask certain persons and then leak information in order to attack and embarrass them.

Thanks to Rice, the burden of Hillary-induced delirium has been lifted. Democrats have gone from: "Trump is insane for suggesting the Obama admin spied on him, [to] Susan Rice was just doing her job."

==============================================

Rice just doing her job. Phew, I'm so relieved. Democrats are comfortable w/ Obama/Susan's surveilling/unmasking....... b/c, hey, it's "all legal."

Okay, then Pres Trump needs to do his job. He needs to announce ASAP, that since this is “all legal,” his administration will step up and do the legal thing to protect Americans' safety and security.

They'll be surveilling and unmasking any and all Democrats, on a continuing non-stop basis, particularly Democrats who have talked with foreign ambassadors, foreign financial groups, tropical offshore entities, and the like.

Plus, the Trump administration will ask for the “unmasking” of all those Democrats who are involved in such talks... because it is "legal."

AND Trump will use "Obama’s very own spur-of-the-moment legal rules" to distribute that information to every US intelligence agency. (HAT TIP BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP)

==============================================

Democrat will be s-o-o-o pleased that Trump is following in Obama's footsteps.

Nothing unusual

That translates to “It is done all the time so it is not unusual”.

“Nothing unusual” in no way changes the fact it being done.

The fact remains that unmasked names were leaked, which is a felony. There is absolutely NO question about that. The only questions are who did the leaking and who disseminated the unmasked names. We already know that Rice did the unmasking.

What ever happened to the rule of “need to know”? What was Susan Rice’s “need to know”?
What was the “need” to unmask the names of US citizens? Did unmasking the names make it understandable?
I think these questions have not been asked or answered.

The national media and the democrat party pose a clear and present danger to America:

UPDATE: We are now starting to get a picture of how sinister this whole Democratic Party misinformation campaign is. Through the last half of 2016, the Obama administration was desperately searching for evidence of some link between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia. They went to the length of seeking (twice, reportedly) and finally obtaining a FISA order that allowed them to spy on at least one insignificant Trump associate.

In addition, we now know that Susan Rice headed up an operation whereby raw NSA intelligence was sifted for names of Trump associates, no doubt in hopes of uncovering dirt of some sort.* And we also know that these efforts came up dry. The Obama administration found no compromising information about Trump or any of his associates.

Nevertheless, ever since the Inauguration the Democratic Party, especially its press wing in Washington and New York, has relentlessly pushed the Trump/Russia story. What story? There isn’t one. But that hasn’t stopped Democrats in the press from talking about little else for the last three months.

And yet, all along, the Democrats have known that their spying produced nothing. This whole story is almost unbelievably sordid. The relevant Congressional committees should investigate thoroughly, and criminal prosecutions should follow where laws have been broken.

It is time to get to the bottom of the Obama spy scandal.

Ask yourself why is CNN trying to immunize Rice? Because Joe Sixpack and Nancy R. Churchgoer were illegally unmasked by Rice, and that is about to come out.
