Sylacauga is a small town, 69% white & 29% white. Whites likely own most of the town & the businesses in it. It will be hard for these black families to remain there. Jobs will be lost. The perps will probably be kicked out of Auburn.

The victim apparently was on the football team. Football is a near religion in small AL towns. Revenge will be a topic of frequent conversation. If the perps stay out of prison their bodies will be found in the river real soon or maybe never.

Note that hunting is also a near religion for white men in AL. They all got their first shotgun at age 12 & know how to use them.
