Fox to investigate sexual harassment claim against O'Reilly

Fox News parent Twenty-First Century Fox Inc said on Sunday it will investigate a sexual harassment claim against TV anchor Bill O'Reilly, who has seen several companies pull their ads from his top-rated news show in the past week.

The investigation comes after a complaint was phoned in to the network's corporate hotline last week by Wendy Walsh, a former regular guest on Fox's "The O'Reilly Factor" TV show, and her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, which the two posted to YouTube.

"21st Century Fox investigates all complaints and we have asked the law firm Paul Weiss to continue assisting the company in these serious matters," the company said in a statement.

I believe BOR is a letch, there is a statute of limitations on these suits. I think one of the interesting comments in the article is she is a democrat operative.

Yeah, who cares...so is he.

Go ahead and take him out....it would only improve FOX.

(if only it could be followed by losing Schlepper and Whoraldo)

She claims that she was a guest on his show and he asked her up to his hotel room which she declined and that was the end of it. He apparently didn’t force her or anything so no big whoop, imo. She later said that was the reason he turned her down as a contributor to his show. I don’t know the distinction between a regular guest and contributor. Maybe getting your name on the credits for the attention.

She’s 50 (46 at the time) and Bill could easily have any 20 year old up to his room anytime he wanted. She has two biracial daughters with a boyfriend/s so she’s not exactly chaste. She gave birth on camera for some tv series and said she did it because of the biracial thing. Hmm, there’s that need for attention, again.

Question... why didn’t this come up at the same time as Roger Ailes? This seems odd.

O’Reilly and FOX have paid 13 million out to other women with similar complaints against O’Reilly and seem to prefer quick settlements to any disclosures. Tends to confirm that O’Reilly is not as advertised and may be a sleaze. I think this Wendy Walsh (don’t know who she is) was just looking for a quick, discreet pay off, whether it is justified or not. I’m not an O’Reilly fan, and I suspect that O’Reilly is capable of promising monetary offers to women to satisfy his libido since he often shows by his actions and his temper to make me suppose he could be spiteful if rebuffed. If, as is inferred, this is the Dems trying to get rid of him, it would suit me fine if we got another Hannity or Tucker Carlson, or my faves, Varney and/or Dobbs to replace him.

I remember the Wendy Walsh segment he had on, it was with another person & it was unwatchable!!!

The ratings for that segment probably sucked so BOR dropped it!

All these women accusing BOR have had their segment cut from his show! Everyone wants to be on the show so I've read!

Juliet Huddy wanted to be on the show, Gretchen wanted to be on the show, I'm thinking when Juliet's segment was dropped, she made up that sexual harassment charge but I could be wrong

Like him or not, O'Reilly is an uber-successful outlet for conservative viewpoints, and has been for decades

That's why the left will stop at nothing to take him down.

That's all this is about.

They are piling on O’Reilly like they piled on Trump.

"They" are different people. BOR earned my scorn, the President kicks @$$!

There must be 100 people who deserve that time slot over the loud-mouth Leprechaun.... Top of my list...

O’Reilly has made himself a target with his history lecherous conduct. Whether or not this latest “complaint” is legit is difficult to know. I personally would not miss him at all if FOX decided to ditch him and put someone like Lou Dobbs in his place. Maybe the next of his series of Killing Whoever ghost written books could be about himself.

Nor I and as for Julie Roginsky's being promised a permanent hosting job, would anyone watch this hard edged woman? Fox has deep pockets so hungry lawyers find dime-a-dozen "accusers".

With today's climate of stories of sexual harassment allegations for something as small as leering with Fox news hens in their tube dresses making them look like hookers...agreeing to dress like that makes any claim of harassment shallow. IMHO

That oily libtard on CNN, Brian Steltzer does about half of his show every Sunday on criticisms of Fox News and their personnel.

He had a guy named Michael Wolf, a longtime celebrity news reporter for the Hollywood Reporter on last Sunday and gave him several softball questions about the BOR stuff.

Unfortunately for Steltzer, Wolf hit some line drive screamers over the right field fence. He defended O’Rielly and Fox News, saying that anytime one person files a sexual harassment lawsuit you will see other plaintiffs piling on with their supposed harassment tales. He feels it is becoming a financial scam where the defendant has to prove he didn’t do anything.

Steltzer kept trying but Wolf wasn’t having any of it and he finally gave up.
