No chance of that. I was on to him from the beginning. I googled the page he was talking about, and a report on it showed it had supremo.exe, sharemypc.exe and teamviewer.exe. I was familiar with the latter two, and I knew exactly what this guy was trying to get me to do. I was hoping he would do something that would allow me to track him, but he wouldn’t send an email or provide any info that would let me do that. It was kind of clever, for a scam. He said that the person who had hacked our gmail would be able to see if they sent an email, or if I changed the password, so it had to be fixed by connecting to their “secure” server. They had a line for most contingencies. My parents could easily fall for it.
I assume your parents were usually very perceptive old fashioned style. I am 85 years old and was in a vulnerable state, after successful surgery. As a gift to myself I got a brand new tower. I thought I was pretty adept myself. Somehow I got locked in to Mumbai.
I still cannot understand how I allowed myself to be duped when I knew about India/Mumbai.They played mind games for about six hours and I almost broke down. They then put me on a regular network which still works ok. Sociopathic scum, could have bilked me for the 225 dollars Canadian and left me in ten minutes. (Excuse the rant, I feel better for telling this).
