New Jersey was one of the early ones. Signed by none other than Gov. Chris Christie.

As disgusting as this legislation is (criminalizing what was considered
responsible treatment only a generation ago) at least this is being done at the state level, where it belongs. The people of NM are getting the government that they deserve. Maybe if enough democrat-voting voters are disgusted enough by this madness, they'll vote in some conservatives next time.
The problem is that it creates the appearance of momentum on their side, so that other state legislatures considering such bills can point to another example.
Also, this doesn't seem to affect the counseling by pastors of Evangelical Christian groups for their own members, unless and until the law is deemed to apply to them as well by a leftist court system.

Curious to know if there were enough votes for a veto override.

Doesn’t matter if one has firm principles.Governor has opportunity to change minds by clearly laying out reason for veto. And if nothing else , maintain own self respect and respect of others who appreciate firm moral stance.

The state of New Mexico has become the seventh state to impose a ban on conversion therapy, the practice of attempting to force LGBTQ people into changing their sexual orientation, with GOP Gov. Susana Martinez signing into law a bill banning its use on minors. This is a lie. People aren't forced; they are merely attempted to be persuaded.
This should be up to the person, or the parents if the person is a minor.
The State certainly has no right to intervene...
