A history professor at California State University, Fresno, appears to have advocated for the death of President Donald Trump on Twitter.
Tweets from an account purportedly operated by Professor Lars Maischak call for Trump to “hang” in order to “save American democracy,” and say the only “cure” for racist people is a bullet to their head. The account is not verified, although the bio and interactions between the user and other Twitter users indicate it belongs to the professor.
“To save American democracy, Trump must hang,” Professor Lars Maischak appears to have tweeted in February. “The sooner and the higher, the better. #TheResistance #DeathToFascism.”
“Has anyone started soliciting money and design drafts for a monument honoring the Trump assassin, yet?” the user wrote in another tweet a few days later, along with the hashtag “TheResistance.”
And in another: “#TheResistance #ethniccleansing Justice = The execution of two Republicans for each deported immigrant.”
The user has also said “mercy towards racists” is a “fatal weakness” of Americans.
“#TheResistance Mercy towards racists was always the fatal weakness of good Americans,” he tweeted. “1865, 1965, they left too many of them alive.”
Other tweets include thoughts on “fascist” Trump supporters and said the GOP.
“#WhenCaliforniaSecedes, You Fascist Trump-voting white trash scum can wallow in your filthy hell-holes of flyover states,” he tweeted. “Enjoy.”
“#TheResistance A democracy must not be tolerant of those who want to abolish democracy. It must vigorously defend itself. Ban the @GOP.”
The user also compared Trump to Hitler in other tweets.
The account has existed since June, 2013.
Maischak did not reply to multiple requests for comment. A spokeswoman for CSU Fresno told The Daily Caller News Foundation Maischak’s comments on social media do not represent the university. “Lars Maischak is employed as a lecturer at Fresno State,” Margarita Adona told TheDCNF. “Statements made on his personal social media accounts are his alone and are not endorsed by or reflect the position of the University.”

I seem to remember hearing similar rhetoric in news reels filmed in Europe, in the late 1920's. Hmm - wonder what the origins of this thinking really are? Maybe if I substitute the name of an ethnic group the quote will make sense.

Over the course of my life, I’ve watched the Left evolve from a counter-culture phenomena into something just short of authoritarians comfortable with putting their enemies into gulags.
When I was a kid, the Left engaged in discourse, as I watched on William F. Buckley’s Firing Line. All of the big libs showed up to engage Mr. Conservative.
Then, lots of my college-age peers discounted America by feeling that no culture could be better than another. All things were relative.
By the 90s, media jumped in with barely concealed support for dems and opposition to conservatives.
Reverse discrimination was a topic for discussion in the 90s. It didn’t stand to reason that a white or Japanese student should take a back seat in admissions or hiring based on race. Today, it is accepted practice.
As colleges loaded up with the unqualified, many of whom failed to graduate, it was all blamed on whitey.
Black dirtbag lives matter. At the risk of your life, don’t say that blue lives matter.
And finally, we are at the point where college profs can openly promote the murder of the President because DJT isn’t a social warrior.
The Left believes whatever it does is moral. Since conservatives stand in the way of world-socialism, all forms of violence against conservatives must be moral.
