Sen. Tim Kaine Speaks on U.S. Strikes Syria.
CNN ^ | Apr 7, 2017 | CNN

Wow, for once IMHO CNN did a decent job. Kaine kept trying to say Trump failed to work with congress to declare War. The CNN guy (I do not know him) kept saying congress has failed for years to declare war.

To the best of my knowledge the last time congress actually declared war was WWII.

I actually kind of agree with Kaine. The president should work with congress to declare war, otherwise say out of it.

“congress has failed for years to declare war”

Well then I guess we’re not going to have a war.

“To the best of my knowledge the last time congress actually declared war was WWII.”

Congress authorized the Iraq war. I think that was the last one.

One of us is mis-informed:

“The Constitution grants Congress the sole power to declare war. Congress has declared war on 11 occasions, including its first declaration of war with Great Britain in 1812. Congress approved its last formal declaration of war during World War II. Since that time it has agreed to resolutions authorizing the use of military force and continues to shape U.S. military policy through appropriations and oversight.”

Who cares what Timmy thinks. I'm waiting to hear what Rosie O'Donnel has to say about it.

Since when is anything Kaine says Breaking News? Unless he’s coming out of the closet or quiting because he’s incompetent, then again neither of those would qualify as new news either.

In light of those who said Trump was following Hilary’s policy, is it now fair to say those opposing the attack are in the Tim Kaine camp? No of course not. Trump made his own devision. IMHO it was aimed at China as much as Russia.

I really don’t like the idea of a president popping off a few missles any time he feels like it. Republican or Demoncrap, the creeping powers of the executive branch is not a good trend.

Molly Yard’s slogan, on anything a conservative, a Republican, a Christian, or any combination thereof might say or do, was, “I am OUTRAGED!” Your handle suggests she might have been kinfolk? What a way to go through life; promoting outrage.

I humbly apologize and will defer to those that know better about whether this was really breaking news.

What I was impressed was CNN seemed to actually be objective.

There is no possible way that the dust clears in Syria with a free, pro American state in power. Any action we take provides no possible benefit to us. Call me crazy but I think our government should do things that benefit us. Russia and Saudi are paying for this blood bath let them pay.
