yes, it failed initially 56-44. McConnell changed his vote to “no” so he could make a motion to reconsider so the official tally is 55-45. The reconsideration vote is now taking place.

I think the process is that this a vote to revote. Once the vote to revote passes, then they change the rule from 60 to 51, then do the revote.

I’m still appalled whenever I hear these roll calls, how many US Senators names I don’t recognized and have never even heard of before.
