Steve Bannon says role was to ‘de-operationalize’ NSC after Rice’s tenure
The Washington Times ^ | April 5, 2016 | Dave Boyer

White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon said Wednesday he was removed from a permanent seat on the National Security Council because it was no longer in danger of being “operationalized” for non-security purposes, as he asserted was the case under former Obama national security adviser Susan E. Rice.

Mr. Bannon, who was taken off the NSC by President Trump, said new national security adviser H.R. McMaster “has returned the NSC to its proper function.”

“Susan Rice operationalized the NSC during the last administration,” Mr. Bannon said in a statement. “I was put on to ensure that it was de-operationalized.”

There you have it: he was not "kicked off" or marginalized, he can still attend meeting if he chooses (article says he's only been to ONE).

I can assure you, if the government decides you no longer need your access it is removed immediately regardless of who you are. This should have been done quietly. He will have signed the Official Secrets act, which says in part that he can be prosecuted for any leaks of information he gained while using his clearance.

all of which is irrelevant...he was put there to do a job, and having completed it, now leaves NSC in the hands of McMaster.

The Director of the National Background Investigations Bureau Charles Phalen has stated: ““The President has the ability to grant a clearance or grant access to anyone whom they please – it is at their discretion”.

Trump wisely removes a political operative from the Security apparatus as the storm clouds are building in D.C.

Obama will regret that didn’t do that with Rice. He’ll now pay a heavy price.

What worries me is that in spite of what Rice and Obama are accused of, many people would fight to the bitter end to defend them and they may do it violently too.

They believe that the end justifies the means and justice and fairness are nothing.

The architecture is still there for it to be re-operationalized.

DISMANTLE totalitarian collectives and DEPOPULATE totalitarians from the body politic.

I don’t buy this explanation. I think Bannon was removed so Trump can get leverage on getting Gorsuch confirmed and Obamacare repealed.

“They believe that the end justifies the means and justice and fairness are nothing.”

They fancy both fairness and justice as only existing as they see things. The laws are to be applied to the little people and those would threaten their notion of truth.

The laws do not pertain to them as they are acting righteously for a higher cause.

Now that they have lost power, position and prestige, they realize that they too are, little people.

And they will fight to get that power back.

It is unbelievable how irrational they have gotten these days. And they were probably pretty happy with where things headed over the past 8 years and probably very disappointed at how things turned out during the last election.

They were creating a massive servant class by decimating the middle class and all in the name of doing the right thing for the little people. And their job was not finished, the last nail in the coffin was a carbon tax, which Hillary would have pushed for if she had won.

Sadly, they have stacked the courts with like-minded judges — the real ruling class. Judges have overturned elections and have fought just about every one of Trumps executive orders. The judges are the Trojan horse and the only hope is Gorsuch which will balance the lower courts which were flooded by Obama and Reid because of the Reid Nuclear Option. If Ginsburg retires and since it is no holds barred, I hope that Trump and the Republicans nominate a conservative in spite of the whining and complaining from the Left. We need a Supreme Court to balance the lower courts — the lower courts are clearly out of control.
