Retiring Staffer Claims EPA Employees Were ‘Insulted’ By Trump’s Recent Visit
Daily Caller News Foundation ^ | April 4, 2017 | Michael Bastasch

The CPP was the cornerstone of President Barack Obama’s “Climate Action Plan.” Trump’s order also eliminated Obama-era directives to federal agencies on global warming and an Interior Department moratorium on new coal mining leases on federal lands.

Cox says these actions were an insult to EPA employees who work on these issues. Previous news reports highlighted the tension between career staffers and the Trump administration.

One former EPA official suggested career staff would boycott Trump if he ever visited the agency. That’s on top of reports staffers sent encrypted text messages to resist the administration’s goal, and news that employees would slow-walk or even ignore orders.

One unnamed EPA employee told ProPublica “more than a few friends were ‘coming to work in tears’ each morning as they grappled with balancing the practical need to keep their jobs with their concerns for the issues they work on.”

If they had any intelligence they would have been insulted when Obama told them to make energy much more expensive and kill jobs for a few 1/100th’s of degree decrease in global temperature over the next few decades. (the decrease amount comes from scientists they agree with, not “deniers” they freely ignore)

At least I would have been insulted if I was ordered to promote such and expensive yet worthless idea. The EPA’s mission should be making the environment better, not meaningless symbolism.

These A holes are willing to sacrifice my job or your job on the altar of climate change but they cry all the way to work because they are hooked on their own petard. Show me you’ve got principals and quit in protest. I might have a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of respect for you then but I really doubt any of these bureaucratic weasels would ever sacrifice anything of theirs.

Well, I’d hate to think the folks who have been “Lording it” over businesses and your average citizen might be insulted.

After all, that was their mandate!!!!

These people didn’t care who they ruined on their road to utopia.

Michael Cox, a retiring EPA staffer who worked on global warming programs, wrote in a letter to Administrator Scott Pruitt that it “was beyond comprehension that an administration could be so arrogant and callous.”

Boo hoo! Waaaa!

This EPA banned OTC inhalers for asthma sufferers in 2011 to save the environments.

This is all that needs to be said about them.

Fine, then go work on your issues somewhere else where you're not on my dime. If it's really important surely someone like Gore or Decaprio will provide funding. ;-)

The EPA doesn’t need a mission. Each state has its own EPA like bureacracy. No need for a federal version telling states what they must do.

I think these “career staffers” should quit as a show of how much they are “offended” by their President’s interest in their work.
