Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) opposes Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court, a decision that risks the ire of gun owners and other conservatives in deep-red Montana when Tester stands for reelection next year.
In a written statement, Jon Tester claimed that Gorsuch would be part of the spread of “dark money” and would inject the Court “between women and their doctors.”

Not so deep red anymore.
Bought my land here almost 23 years ago. Things have changed ... and not for the better. Lots of people come here to flee the democrat hell holes, and then vote to bring that same crap here. Not content with our dirt roads they want sidewalks and streetlights, to make us civilized don’t you know.
Away from the university towns you can still find the real Montana. But the rural influence ain’t what it used to be. And Tester played his rural roots to the max, fooling many otherwise conservative dems to take a chance on him. His support of veterans has helped him as well.
This won’t play well here as we are solidly behind Trump. But time will tell.

The 17thAmdt denied the individual State HOR to impeach a Senator.
The 17th should be altered to a specific form [making a US Senator directly accountable to the State HOR] or repealed entirely.
Tell us how you really feel.
Change the rules, first, let them actually filibuster via standing and talking. Great stuff for campaigns. Then if they don’t give up, go for the nuke option. Let them earn the ridicule of the public first though.

And if Dems try to filibuster the budget, in an effort to shut down the government if they don't get the spending proposals they want, the nuclear option should be used to sweep away the filibuster entirely.

Montana used to have Dude Ranches where people from the coast could come and ride a horse and try to lasso a pole.
Now, Montana has “Glamping” where people from the coast pay $1,000 a day to sleep in a tent and eat chicken.

Schumer has stated that if the Republicans want to seat another Supreme Court judge, they should be nice and allow him to appoint his choice. That is the way bi-partisanship works for him.
