SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- An American footwear company has sparked disapproval on social media over high heeled shoes for babies.
Pee Wee Pumps says babies will be the "belle of the ball" in the shoes.
But the BBC reports people are criticizing the company amid a growing concern at what is seen as the sexualization of children.

I’ll admit to not being a big fan of Facebook. I can barely tolerate it.
Oh my gosh the junk folks toss onto that web site. Not intending to include your grandchildren’s pictures in that category.
I agree they are not supposed to walk in them. They do look silly though. What I hate is seeing a baby with pierced ears. Not sure if Wal-Mart still does but after hearing a baby scream during a ear piercing made me want to slap the crap out of the mother.
I heard a baby boy being circumcised. Most blood-curdling scream I have ever heard.
I am very choosy with Facebook friends. Almost all are family or Christian conservatives. I don’t tolerate fools.

I know someone whose 5 year old child was offered a ride by two men in a white car. The child knew to say no and run. Apparently one man got out of the car and started to follow but someone yelled at him and he got back in and they left.
