Late comers doesn’t mean nevertrumpers.
The idea of the FC being mostly nevertrumpers is not correct.
See post 63 on this thread

Which group is going to be the most supportive of president Trump’s goals? The GOPe or the FC?
We all know the answer is the Freedom Caucus!

Actually, the freedom caucus has damaged Trump’s entire agenda far more than Nancy Pelosi. Who’da thunk it?

Most of the FC members who were not explicitly Never Trump gave him the minimum support required as the nominee of their party. I know because my former rep is one of them. Clearly they intend to minimally support Trump again now that he is in the White House.

Conservatives will vigorously support Trump on policy and issues when they agree with him. He will have no stronger ally.

And they will oppose him on issues and policy when they disagree.

That’s how it’s supposed to be. It’s a form of government. We call it a Republic. And we’re just barely still hanging on to it. You apparently, like most leftists, would prefer a Trump dictatorship.

This all bodes very poorly for the future with Trump already publicly declaring war on the conservative members of congress and threatening to oppose their re-election. He fights against my re-election then guess what? I fight against his.

Is this how you guys want it? Cause that’s what you’re creating.

This health care battle may look like small potatoes once the illegal immigration debate cranks up and Trump starts telling us how we need to grant amnesty to dreamers. When he does that, things are really going to get ugly. And in case you’re wondering, no, we won’t be compromising on amnesty either.

How much support do you think the GOPe is going to give Trump?
Especially on immigration and a wall?
What about balancing the budget?
