I hope I’m wrong about Gowdy, but he’s all talk. He hasn’t punished one single person. I would not be shocked if he’s just a very good actor that is a gatekeeper for the republicans and democrats. But I will definitely give him a chance.
I didn't think Gowdy had the POWER to punish?
He does the digging - and does it good - but then isn't it up to the DOJ or others to pick up the ball and prosecute?
Punishment is not within his purview. He is a Congressional Representative and as such, he may interrogate as a part of one or another Committee investigation,analyze and draft bills and vote, hopefully according to the wishes of his constituents. That’s all.
