Back when I was in the army, between the Korean and Vietnamese wars, there was a little hanky panky going on, but nothing like this. For instance, I was the company security guard for a year, and most of my work consisted in burning 55 gallon oil drums full of confidential, secret, and top secret stuff that got passed down the line to us, because nobody could be bothered to deal with it.

And there was an extra Nike missile that no one could account for. The paperwork was missing. So the order was given to take it out into the desert and bury it, solving the discrepancy.

Or when the Secretary of Defense ordered that all companies should give up trucks that they weren’t putting to sufficient use, we were ordered to drive them around and around the desert until they showed a sufficient number of miles to keep them.

But ten trillion dollars? That’s obviously outright theft at the highest levels. Exchange of pork among the generals, the politicians, and their buddies.

Just curious, does funding for true black box research and projects go through the Pentagon? I always assumed much of it was hidden and funneled (or laundered if you prefer) through general/omni budgets.

If missing trillions were going to cutting edge technology and research toward national security, I wouldn't cry. If it's ending up in the hands of warlords, smugglers, and crooked world leaders, then someone needs a more transparent audit.

I have a client and business partner who made some savvy real estate moves back in 2007-08 before the U.S. housing and real estate market began to unravel. He sold off most of his company's real estate holdings right before the 2008 crash.

When we see (after all the agency audits ordered by President Trump, and the subsequent cost-saving practices are put in place) how much of our $$ was wasted, and how much we really can afford to do when we eliminate the waste, fraud and abuse, we'll be shocked how wealthy we really are, and how much we can do for so much le$$.

A trillion here, a trillion there... pretty soon you're talking real money.
