Was in NC for two trips this year. Hotels are full. I hope they make a wise decision here. I have no issue if they modify the bill, but they should not full capitulate.

Bullies. The SEC, Big 12,& Big 10 ought to pull out of the NCAA. Boycott the boycotters.

Sounds like the NCAA is a prime candidate for prosecution under the RICO statutes.

How is this not blackmail or extortion, perpetrated by an organized criminal enterprise known as the NCAA?

Also, for a bunch of foolish leftists who constantly decry the evils of “collective punishment”, this sounds and smells a lot like “collective punishment” to me.

See what leftists do. They upset traditional norms and when good people simply revert it back, they’re called bigots and want to be in everyone’s personal lives.

When the NCAA works with other sports leagues to end “gender specific” teams I MAY be impressed.

“””Under the law, businesses in North Carolina are free to regulate their intimate facilities however they choose. But HB2 has still drawn the ire of major corporations such as Apple, Facebook and Google who say it goes against their values.”””

Values? VALUES? When a perv goes into a woman’s bathroom —— just because he CAN, where is the value in that?

This is a no-brainer.

Should North Carolina law be based on public interest and the desires of the citizenry, our should they chuck their own people under the bus to pursue an arena booking that will happen every fourth year?

The NCAA need North Carolina more than North Carolina needs the NCAA.

The NCAA is threatening to remove North Carolina from consideration to host championship games for the foreseeable future if the state does not repeal a law regulating public restrooms, locker rooms and showers on the basis of biological sex.

North Carolina has not hosted a championship game since 1994. They don't have a venue large enough. Empty threat.

One certainly hopes that North Carolina will know how to respond to these crack-pot bullies. What a complete mockery of their supposed function, which certainly is not to war on the rights of a State to legislate on health, safety & morals. (Constitutional lawyers will explain to the NCAA loons that those things are reserved to the States under our Constitution, as the “Police Powers.”)
